As a child I watched my Father open doors for my Mother, as a student I spoke a Latin prayer in a dining hall of 200 girls and now as a girlfriend I'm given flowers and taken out on dinner dates.
There's something so special about tradition. If only I could get him to wear a cravat - maybe that's pushing it too far.

The dress is from Jigsaw last winter actually -I spied it with a cream trim at first but waited for the sale and they then only had the all black version, I was sad at first but I'm warming to it now - more of a winter number if Im to be honest.

The dark dress paired with the light brown shoes is a great effect!
Perhaps it is because you look and act like a lady that you are treated as one. As for the cravat, you could always try the, " Oh darling I would love it if you wore a cummerbund and some spats to dinner, but if I have to, I'll settle for just a cravat." Then he might think he's being very generous and scoring quite a few points.
