Batting above the average

For a girl who never has any money and apparently spends it all on superfluous fashion, I ask you this - Where are all the labels? Where is all the luxury? There are no pink and white boucle suits or red soles in this humble wardrobe, I can tell you. Where all my cash goes is any ones guess (or maybe it's in the pockets of market stall owners and ludicrously over priced vintage boutiques) but a quick wardrobe once over and Christian, Ralph and Yves just don't seem to get a look in.

There is this lonely Burberry scarf though (a gift from a friend of a friend who works in head office). She had a great day out yesterday and didn't seem bothered at all that I teamed her with a sweet little no name dress and a pair of second hand boots. Then again she doesn't actually have the ability to communicate now does she? If she did, do you think she'd have a problem hanging out with commoners?

Then can you call her a friend?

I love the scarf! If I had the money to spend, I'm sure I would waste it on overpriced designer goods, haha.

Lovely scarf, you wear it so well. Sometimes I've wondered whether certain clothes of mine, like 'hanging out' together...

You look lovely. And your scarf is just as pleasant and personable as you are.

It's all about how you wear it darling, and you wear it so well. I can't stand head to toe designer- boring! Give me vintage anyday of the week. I'd rather have something lovely with a history and a story behind it anyday that no one else has.
I love that you wear scarves as well, not enough young gals wear scarves I say!

I am in the same situation as you! How is it that my wardrobe has cost thousands over the years, and yet there are no designer pieces in site! Some months i tally up how much i've spent on a few highstreet things and realise i could've bought a pair of Louboutins!

You wear that scarf really well :)
The only designer things I have in my wardrobe are Chloe bags, they are my weakness and I love them. I hope they don't mind being paired with $7 sale tops from cotton on, and shoes from kmart!
I think it doesn't matter where thign are from, or who made them, as long as you love them and you feel great wearing them.
